WW - Rolex Oyster Perpetual "Bubbleback" Chronometer, ref 5048, circa 1950, 32mm x 39mm to lug tips, 18mm lug width, original 18K pink gold screw back Oyster case, brown leather strap, older refinished white dial has aged to a yellowish champagne with applied gold indices, 18J, s#668752, triple signed, inside back ref 5048. Gross weight of assembled watch without strap 25.8 dwt (40.1 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, light oxide to rotor and steelwork, fine scratches on plates and rotor center; refinished dial with ample surface spotting and discoloration; fine-plus discolored gold dauphine hands; polished case shows very light wear, several light dings on back and lugs from being worn with an expandable bracelet; Rolex signed Oyster crown shows little wear, good threads; good crystal; resealed for auction.
